I think he's saying that you don't need 70% to get it but rather only 20%


Need to get it. There are theories that in places like NY, Sweden, etc. that herd immunity has already been reached because of different variables.

X = 30% that have preexisting immunity because they have had a bad cold before that was caused by a coronavirus leaving them with t cells that know more of less how to combat getting infected by Covid.

Y = 40% who are asymptomatic carriers and have t cells but will never show up positive for an antibody test because whatever antibodies they developed split town. Still immune due to their t cells.

X = 15% who get it bad and eventually test positive for antibodies and also have t cells if they live through the virus.

X+ Y + Z= 85% = herd immunity.

Not sure if that theory is correct, but it would be awesome. If so, you just have to withstand the first brutal wave after you open up. Time will tell.
